ITOX microATX Industrial Motherboard – PT330-DRM Supports New Quad-Core Intel® Core™ i7 Processors

East Brunswick, NJ – March 22, 2010 – ITOX today launches a new microATX form factor motherboard, PT330-DRM, offering higher processing performance, superior graphics display support, and evolutionary memory system and I/O interface improvements. This next-generation embedded board utilizes the latest two-chip platform with Intel® Q57 Express chipset supporting LGA 1156 socket processors, such as the Intel® Core™ i3-540, Intel® Core™ i5-660, Intel® Core™ i5-750, Intel® Core™ i7-860 processors or the Intel® Pentium® processor G6950. These platforms feature Intel® Virtualization Technology providing hardware-accelerated virtualization capabilities.

These new 64-bit multi-core processors use 32-nanometer process technology and incorporate the memory controller and graphics core in one package, eliminating the need for both a Northbridge and Southbridge interface chip used in previous platforms. This creates a tightly coupled system architecture, providing higher performance and lower power than previous three-chip platform solutions.

In addition, some of these new processors include Intel® Hyper-Threading and Intel® Turbo Boost technologies, enabling each core to independently handle two instruction threads and increase performance by more than 50% when other cores are not fully utilized. This provides a significant increase in performance for both multi-core and non-multi-core optimized application programs. An enhanced three-level cache subsystem utilizes a first level instruction cache (FLC) and mid level cache (MLC) on a per-core basis, with a large last level shared cache with controls to minimize snoop activity. The combination of Intel Hyper-Threading, Intel Turbo Boost, and the new three-level cache subsystem insures higher performance at reduced power consumption across a broad-spectrum of embedded processing applications.

Support is provided for up to 16GB of DDR3 1066/1333 MHz dual-channel system memory with a maximum bandwidth of 21 GB/s, two PCI Express Gigabit LAN controllers, Intel® Active Management Technology (Intel® AMT 6.0), and KVM (keyboard-Video-Mouse) redirection allowing wired remote system management.

Additional features include Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator HD supporting high-definition 2D, 3D and video graphics using VGA and DVI interfaces providing dual-independent display capability for intensive multimedia application, six Serial ATA ports with speed up to 3Gb/s, RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 drive support, twelve USB 2.0/1.1 ports, two Serial COM ports, and 2 channel High-Definition audio support with S/PDIF I/O interface. This embedded microATX motherboard provides expansion using 1 PCI Express x16 slot, 1 PCI Express x4 slot, and 2 PCI slot.

This industrial motherboard is ideal for applications requiring a stable revision-controlled platform, such as gaming, security, industrial control automation, digital signage, medical equipment, KIOSK and POS/ATM embedded applications.
